Last night we spent the evening with about 700 or more of our new best friends. Members of the worship team, Antonio and myself and others took a trip up to the Academy Training Center in San Juan, Sacatepéquez. This is where they train approximately 1200 of the 1500 students/candidates for the National Police of Guatemala every year.
We were blessed to be able to share the word in praise and worship and the spoken word, followed-up with the 100-150 men that asked or personal prayer. Yea God!
This is both a sweet and sour. This year we were blessed to have with us Intern Lindsey - who also happens to be mine and Nancy's niece - Lindsey Bandy from Elgin, Illinois. During her summer break from Hope College, she chose to come and spend some time with her favorite uncl... I mean Iglesia Del Camino working with our international missions program and also the social services of Pastores. She is helping us to develop our internship program even farther. What a blessing. Unfortunately, her 6 weeks with us had to end so that she could go on with her life (or something like that). Be blessed Lindsey.
Once again, God is opening doors that I never would have thought possible. A couple of weeks back we were asked to host Prayer Breakfasts for the National Police in Sacatepéquez. Working along side the leadership of ¨Valor y Servicio¨, we have approximately 75-100 men coming and hearing the word of God. Prayer is a good thing - please keep it coming.
